Product Description

NanoBone is a synthetic, biodegradable bone grafting material that is composed of non-sintered nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite (HA) which is embedded in a silica gel matrix (amorphous SiO2). The ratio of HA / SiO2 has been chosen to optimize the rate of biodegradation for successful treatment of osseous defects in human bone.

NanoBone SBX Putty does not contain any components of animal or human origin, eliminating the possibility of transmission of infection or disease.

Indications for Use

NanoBone is intended for use as a bone void filler for voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure. NanoBone is indicated for use in the treatment of surgically created osseous defects or osseous defects resulting from traumatic injury to the bone. NanoBone is intended to be packed into bony voids or gaps of the skeletal system (i.e., extremities and pelvis) as a bone void filler. This product provides a bone void filler that resorbs and is replaced by bone during the healing process.
